4th Surpac User Meeting in Austria 2006 After the successful 3rd Surpac User meeting in the year 2004 mine-it is proud to announce now the 4th Surpac User Meeting in this year. We want to stress with this the thight relationship between Surpac and ist clients and users and hope that all participants will benifit from this meeting in terms of a successful application of Surpac in the daily working process. |

4th Surpac-User Meeting of Austria The meeting takes place at Januray 26th and 27th in Leoben, Austria. The goals of the meeting are:
The meeting should be of interest both for current Surpac users and all persons interested in a application of a mining planning tool in their company in the future. Take the chance to contact Surpac-users and software vendor representatives to get a comprehensive overview on the Surpac product! We are extremly proud that also experienced and competent representatives of Surpac-Minex will join the meeting. This year this will be Mr. Betran de lange from the UK-office and Mr. Mike Berrman, who is manager of the R&D department of Surpac in Perth, Australia. Betran and Mike will both present speeches on Surpac topics and are also available for discussions and individual talks. |

Program According to the positive experiences of the last event this meeting will be structured as well in two parts. The first day (Thursday, January 26th, 2006) will focus on general information about Surpac. These information should help the user to get an overview on the current capabilities of Surpac Vision and also to get informed about future developments planned by Surpac. Besides that it is quite important to us to give the participants the possibilitiy to put request on inprovements directly to those responsible for the development. Persons thinking about an application of a mining-planning-tool in their company will find here comprehensive information about the capabilities and advantages of Surpac. Due to particular interest of several users a special focus will be put on the software "SiroVision", which supports photogrammetry surveying of quarries and benches and covers the advantages of rapid surveying with the indepth-information of a 3D-picture.
The second day (Friday, January 27th, 2006) is organized as a workshop, with practical application of Surpac. According to requests of our clients this workshop will cover "typical" steps of a mine planning process, executed by means of a simple example. Particular topics of this course are data import, creating surfaces, open pit planning, volum calculations and deposit modelling. The goal of the workshop is to cover the essential functions of Surpac, but also to provide tips and tricks for the quick and efficient application of Surpac. Particular focus is put on aspects of "preparation" of the work (configuration of Surpac, preconditions on import data). as these aspects are particularily important for worry-free working.. More detailed information about the program ... In the evening of the first day (January 26th, 2004) we also organize an informal event ("Surpac evening") - with plenty of time for discussions on Surpac, mine planning and other topics. During the whole meeting both the representatives of Surpac, Mr. de Lange and Mr. Berrman, as well as the staff of mine-it are available for individual talks and discussions. |

Meeting fees:
The meeting fees include coffee and drinks during breaks, lunch buffet and the evening event (Surpac evening) Bank connections: Account No. 515 480 22202, Bank Austria Creditanstalt AG, Filiale Leoben, BLZ 12000. The meeting fee can be payed as well in cash during the meeting. Note for the 2nd day: Surpac users are requested to take their surpac keys and - if possible - also their laptop with them. For participants currently not having a Surpac-licence a limited number of keys and laptops will be provided. |
